November-December 2020 Newsletter

It’s that time of year again. Thanksgiving turkey, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, but one thing that may be missing is family.

Many things have changed for all of us. What used to be normal is now something different. We have to keep everyone safe from this awful virus. You may be lucky and be able to celebrate the holidays with family members, but many of us won’t be able to do that. We will get passed this but I just hope we come out of it a little better, wiser, and smarter.

Christmas and Hanukkah come next. Same story. I am sure the virus will still be with us. When my wife and I talk about what‘s going on and how it is affecting our lives, we feel we are being cheated out of a year or more of our life. Not being able to be with family and friends. All the simple things we normally do and take for granted are gone for now.We try to focus on what we do have. Our health, our family is doing well, our friends are getting through this also, and it can’t be long before there is a vaccine to make virus go away.

It’s also a time of year to make those contributions to the charities you normally support and other charities that need your help. There are many more people now in need of help than usual. If things are ok for you send a little help to people who can use it. It will mean a lot especially this time of year.

We at HLAA North Shore Chapter would like to extend the warmest holiday wishes to all our members and their families. If you would like to include us in your holiday gift giving it would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to containing our work in helping, and supporting the Hard of Hearing people in our community.

If you would like to make a donation (all donations are tax deductible) please inquire by email for a mailing address.

Have a safe and healthy holiday season and a Happy New Year!
