The HLAA New York State Association has this goal: make hearing loss, of all degrees, an issue of statewide concern by promoting the HLAA philosophy of self-help while specifically addressing access, advocacy, awareness, and education. The State Association supports and promotes the mission of New York State Chapters and serves as a bridge between local HLAA chapters and the national HLAA organization. The overall and consistent goal is to help people with hearing loss lead more satisfying and productive lives. Learning to thrive, in spite of hearing loss, is the common goal of all who participate in HLAA programs.
